A collaboration with percussionist Josh Perry. The goal is to create an interactive system based on feedback between Josh, a snare drum and a cymbal. The percussion instruments have contact mics (picking up audio signal) and transducer drivers (outputting vibrations). Through a Max patch (see below), sound produced on one instrument can be echoed onto the other; depending on the routing, this can create feedback.

We created a first version (routing changes triggered by me) during a residency at MISE-EN_PLACE in March 2019, in Bushwick, New York City. Our ongoing work is to create this into a self-contained changing feedback environment for Josh to explore.
